BCAAs vs EAAs and why I only use EAAs

Back in the day, going to the gym meant grabbing a jug of water some creatine and a jar of BCAAs. This was 1983 and I was "all in" on supplementation. Fast forward 36 years and there are still people who think BCAAs are the way to lean out/bulk up and everything in between. UMinus20 is by far one of the best supplements for weight loss and muscle gain fast

What they have failed to understand is the science.  A lot has changed since 1983. One is the advanced scientific methods of learning more about what is going on inside our bodies. Science has unlocked many aspects of the mitochondria that were still a mystery back in 1983. In fact there have been many advances in technology from 2000 to now that have helped scientists find new molecules, break down peptides, find new genes etc...that have made the supplement industry understand what the body really needs to stay healthy.

BCAA stands for Branch Chain Amino Acids. They consist of 3 amino acids,  leucine, isoleucine and valine. Those 3 are also part of what is included in EAAs. BCAAs are mostly carbs and are not enough to support you or provide your body with the necessary amino acids pre workout, post workout or any kind of recovery.

EAAs stands for the Essential Amino acids. These amino acids can NOT be manufactured in our bodies. They must be absorbed through food.  EAAs are a true nutritional powerhouse that can help you optimize your training, recovery, sleep, mood, and so much more. They are great for all around health and as we age our bodies need more to keep up with the demands of modern life.

I have been taking EAAs for the past 10 years and have noticed a big difference in maintaining my fitness and also keeping aches and pains away. They help with sleep and cognition and my recovery has improved.

I have been actively working out in a gym for almost 40 years now and I have had my nutrition dialed in for 30 of those 40 years... I can't vouch for my teen years!

EAAs have made my journey much easier to stay the course. I would never think about taking them out of my supplement regiment.
